New advisory board’s member at Emetry

Emetry, the digital company providing insight to wine companies, has a new member in its advisory board. He is Ken Burbary, an expert of digital world, with many experience as Chief Digital Officer in other companies. In his speech he told “Digital is finally disrupting the wine industry. Consumer wine shoppers have the power, are incredibly informed, have high expectations, and have more choice than ever thanks to an abundance of competition in the industry.”

Burbary was also founding Digital Marketing Professor at Cornell University’s Digital Marketing Intensive program for Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management and co-author of “Digital Marketing Analytics: Making Sense of Consumer Data in a Digital World. Syphon kickstarts its wine protector

To preserve wine in a open bottle is ever difficult. In a restaurant you can buy one single glass of wine instead a bottle, but how to maintain the original taste of that wine? Syphon introduced its new argon-injection device and are searching funds thanks to crowdfunding by Kickstarter. According to Syphon creator, Daniel Fukuba, using the device will make your bottle of wine last up to 30 days

Big Data at the London Wine Fair

At the London Wine Fair, the last week, it talked about Big Data in wine commerce. At the workshop How to Use Big Data and Blockchain Technology in Your Businessi n the Innovation Zone of the fair, talked about this topic Cathy Huyghe, from Enolytics, Jonathan Harclerode, chief executive of Bottlebooks, Jon Pollinger, CEO of TaTaTu, and Richard Siddle, session organizer, moderator and editor-in-chief of The-Buyer.net. How Cathy writes on her news, speaking about use of data in wine commerce is really exciting, because this is one of new frontier of wine industry.
